Creating Logic Models/Maps/Theory of Action Diagrams
Logic models, also known as logic maps, are an excellent way to graphically show how your project or initiative connects its participants, goals, actions, and intended outcomes. Funders very much appreciate seeing the "logic" behind your initiative, and you will find it much easier to evaluate the outcomes of your work if you have established your initiative's logic or “theory of action”.
We have created a short tutorial on developing logic models. In this resource, you will see an example logic model and be introduced to some suggested process steps for making your own map. At the end of the resource, there are further references for those who would like to see additional examples or read more about these useful tools for explaining and evaluating your program.
